June Wrap-Up

Some days I just don't know what to say here, and then I end up going an entire month or so without posting. That, and I tend to procrastinate. Anyway, it's time for me to fill my devoted readers in.

I'm still unemployed, but I have had a few promising interviews. I'm confident I'll be back at work within the next couple of weeks.

I'm on Chapter 5 of my new novel, A Walk-In To Remember. So far, it is going well, and as usual my characters are taking over and shoving their input on me. I'm also editing The 5 Demons You Meet In Hell, and preparing for a final rewrite of Apoca-Lynn.

The release of EVIL?is draawing ever closer. I've managed to set up a few author events with the help of friends, and am still planning to have a big launch at my favourite Indigo Spirit location. I will be attending Polaris 23, my first convention of this year, and will speak on a few panels. It's hard work juggling all this stuff, but it is stuff that needs to be done.

Here's a neat bit of news... I am now published in French! My first two books, Epoch and Attack of the Intergalactic Soul Hunters, are now available dans le langue de les Quebecois. I'll post more about that later on.

Oh, and I've already seen Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen twice. I thought it was awesome. The kid in me was very pleased.

So that's June. Looking forward to July!

4 Silly Years!

As of yesterday (June 4th), Violet and I have been married for four years. Yay! I feel very lucky to have found someone with whom I'm so perfectly matched.

We got gifts for each other, which we opened a day early because neither of us could wait. Then, yesterday, we took a 45 minute walk from our place into Vaughn, that region just north of us where the TTC fears to go, and caught a matinee screening of UP. Once again, those Pixar people have done an amazing job.

After the movie, we walked to a restaurant that serves about 40 different flavours of chicken wings. We'd been there once before (and I'll post the name of the place as soon as I remember it) with Violet's sister Georgina, so we'd had a chance to sample 8 of the flavours. This time we sampled 5, and got nice and stuffed!

All in all, a good day. Looking forward to year five!

Back Cover Copy

The back cover copy for EVIL? is in. Written by FLUX's marketing copywriter Courtney Huber, it sets the tone perfectly for what readers can expect in the novel.

Want to see it? I've posted it over on Worlds Of Tim, so you'll have to click on the link to see it. Why? Because Worlds Of Tim isn't getting enough love. Go take a look and post a comment, then tell all your friends!
